Michael Douglas born as Michael Kirk Douglas on September 25th, 1944 in New Brunswick, New Jersey is a magnificent American actor and producer who won two Oscars one as the producer of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" {1975} and the other for his best performance in "Wall Street" (1987). He is best known for his starring role as inspector Steve Keller in "The Streets of San Francisco", a television series.

Michael Douglas was born to notable actor Kirk Douglas and Bermudian actress Diana Dill. Michael Douglas, after attending Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, Massachusetts and Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut, has graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara and took his BA degree in dramatic arts in 1968.

Michael Douglas began his acting career in 1966 with small roles in several television series and by 1972 had bagged a recurring role in "The Streets of San Francisco" (98 episodes: 1972-1976). In 1984 Michael Douglas got a breakthrough role in "Romancing the Stone" and its sequel "The Jewel of the Nile" {1985}. In 1987, Michael Douglas appeared in a blockbuster movie "Fatal Attraction" and next acted in "Wall Street" the same year which won him an Academy Award for his stunning performance as Gordon Gekko the ruthless greedy stock broker. Michael Douglas has since appeared in highly successful movies such as "The War of the Roses" {1989), "A Perfect Murder" (1998), "Basic Instinct" (1992), "Traffic" and "Wonder Boys" (2000) and several other blockbuster movies.

Michael Douglas was married to Diandra Douglas from March 1977 to June 2000. They together have one child. He later married Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones on November 18th, 2000. The couple together has two children Dylan Michael born August 2000 and Carys Zeta born April 2003.
